Orhan Kahveci stated that they have been generating power from sun through 6 thousand 460 units of solar panel laid on the roof of 12 thousand square meters of the main factories on an area of 34 thousand square meters in Mersin Tarsus Organized Industrial Zone since 2017. He also remarked that they generate 2.4MW of power from the plant power of 1.6MW annually. Expressing that they have reached a more competitive position by balancing the energy costs with SES (solar energy systems), Mr. Kahveci said: ‘We benefit from the nature’s power through returning our energy from continuous natural processes to our manufacturing lines. We also contribute further to the goal of creating a more livable environment by preventing 942,900 tons of carbon emission and lumbering 38,860 trees annually thanks to our SES. As part of our sustainable environment policies, we adopt using our resources effectively as the most important principle in all activities and we plan to establish SES to our other factories in the next period.’
Added-value product studies continue

Thanks to these important competitive powers, we grew by approximately 40% which is over the sectoral average in 2021. We have gained a significant growth speed through reaching an annual production of 8 million 800 thousand square meters in sandwich panel products and 1,2 million cubic meters in EPS products.’
