Nasıl Bir Ekonomi: ''Teknopanel developed solar-compatible sandwich roof panel''
Teknopanel, one of the leading brands in the construction materials industry with 4 facilities operating in Turkey, continues to invest in its first overseas facility in North Macedonia while also developing products that will make a positive contribution to the world of sustainable construction. Carrying out important studies on sustainable green products at its R&D center in Mersin, Teknopanel developed a unique solution for solar power plant investments, which have started to be used intensively in facilities, and introduced solar-compatible sandwich roof panels to the market. The redesigned 4 ribs and 5 ribs structure makes the sandwich roof panels compatible with solar panels and ensures easy and fast installation with a customized connection apparatus.
Orhan Kahveci, General Manager of Teknopanel, stated that their new products provide energy and resource efficiency as well as saving investment costs for facility owners while also offering ease of work to building contractors and added that Teknopanel targets sustainable new generation buildings with its solar-compatible sandwich roof panels. Kahveci noted that their new products are manufactured with PUR and PIR insulation material and said, "We have redesigned the rib form of our roof panels in order to take steps that consider the environment in every field and contribute to sustainable living. Our solar roof panels, which are available as 4 ribs with external screws and 5 ribs with hidden screws, make the roofs compatible with solar panels thanks to the rib structure we have developed. With the specially designed connection apparatus, solar panels can be easily mounted to Teknopanel's solar-compatible roof panels without drilling screw holes." Orhan Kahveci stated that they are able to produce solar-compatible sandwich roof panels with the desired technical specifications in accordance with the building project and said, "Since our newly designed roof panel does not require screwing during assembly, we eliminate the risk of water leaking from the panel. Consequently, the buildings become more durable and long-lasting against external factors such as corrosion. Our solar-compatible sandwich roof panels manufactured in a wide range of colors provide a modern and aesthetic appearance to sustainable buildings."
North Macedonia plant to be completed this year
Expressing that the work continues at full speed in the first overseas facility in Skopje, the capital of North Macedonia, with a total area of 55 thousand square meters, including 16 thousand square meters of indoor space, Teknopanel’s General Manager Orhan Kahveci continued as follows: "We aim to complete the plant construction in 2023. With our new facility, we will reach an annual production capacity of 3 million square meters in sandwich panels and 350 thousand cubic meters in EPS products. This will allow us to increase our market share in the Balkans and Europe to higher levels. As a company that exports to 102 countries in Asia, Europe, Africa, and North and South America in the world market, we will become a well-known brand in the European market by enhancing our operations in the North Macedonian industry."
